Colloquium "Looking into the future of high-energy collider physics"
Professor Gian Francesco Giudice, Head, Theoretical Physics Department, CERN, Switzerland
Professor Gian Francesco Giudice is a Guest Lecturer at the Emilio Segre Distinguished Lectures in Physics Endowed by Raymond and Beverly Sackler for the academic year 2020/2021
Particle physics is going through a period of changes, in which theorists are exploring new ideas and experimentalists are envisaging new projects that may follow in the footsteps of the LHC. I will give a personal view of the status of particle physics and its future ambitions, with special emphasis on the high-energy collider programme.
