Abstract
Particle physics is going through a period of changes, in which theorists are exploring new ideas and experimentalists are envisaging new projects that may follow in the footsteps of the LHC. I will give a personal view of the status of particle physics and its future ambitions, with special emphasis on the high-energy collider programme.
