Lecture: "How predictive are cosmological theories?"

Professor Viatcheslav Mukhanov is Sackler Professor by Special Appointment and Guest Lecturer at the Emilio Segre Distinguished Lectures in Physics Endowed by Raymond and Beverly Sackler for the academic year 2021/2022. He will deliver this year the Yuval Neeman Memorial Lecture.

Abstract

I will discuss the recent progress in cosmology, namely, the theoretical predictions made back in the 80's and how they were confirmed in the Cosmic Microwave Background fluctuations measurements during the last 20 years.
